Welcome to the Unexpected Way!

My name is Jen, and my path to parenthood was unexpected, to say the least. It took me a FULL decade to fulfill my dream of starting our family and becoming a mother.

The journey took over every aspect of my life and became a full-time job. I clung to every article, podcast, and person willing to share their story. They kept me going when I was hanging on by a thread. It has been a dream of mine to create the same kind of beacon for other women searching for hope on their journey.

While we all have very different paths to parenthood, we have an undeniable common thread: our longing to become parents and our determination to find a way to do it when seemingly all odds are stacked against us.

Through each conversation, I am committed to creating resources to help you cope with this challenging time—even find ways to “thrive” despite it: inspiration to help you keep going, stop, take a break, switch paths… and shine a bright light on the MANY ways to grow your family. At the same time, you will find healing, support, humor, empowerment, community, and even joy.
